My mom was making a photo newsletter and thought it would be fun if I made a comic strip to go along, so I made this.

Snow dog

Below are pictures of a snow dog I made last Saturday night. At first I had some difficultly making it and was about to give up this guy walked by and asked what I was making and I told him it was suppose to be dog peeing on a the fire hydrant and he laughed and said he really wanted to see it made. I had purpose after that and I made it. What's cool is seeing walk by and take pictures of it.

Ethan Zap the first 9

Every time I showed someone my comic strip the just started reading instead of starting from the begining and so I decided to put the first nine of the story line on one page to be able to read it better.

playing around

I was just sketching around and drew this squirrel like creature and I decided to try coloring it. It was pretty much just for fun, there wasn't any real point to it.

B.O. pizza

I work at this place called "Brick Oven Pizza" or the B.O. as some of like to call it. This comic strip is my commentary on how pizza drivers are people's best friends for about a minute until they get there food. And yes the last panel does seem a bit "fruity" but it makes me laugh so I am leaving it I don't care.

I found this folder on my computer which I made several years ago called "to draw" which has a bunch of photos of things I found on the internet that I wanted to draw. Since I never really drew from those photos when I made it I thought I would start today.

I made this for a church event with the singles group back in the summer of 2005. It was called "The Mormies". It was for who every wanted to sumbit a short film. I tried to find someone at church who wanted to make a short film with me and no one was interested and so I created an animation. I also happened to win best in animation which is funny of course since I was the only one to have an animated short.

Genna

Here is another facebook illustration that I finally completed. I meant to get an illustration done for Genna back for her birthday back in May but I never thought what I was going do would be cool enough, tonight I thought I would see what I could do really quick, I'd say it turned out pretty good.

caricature artist

This past weekend I was a caricature artist for a company party for TAHITIAN NONI. I was one of six artists and we drew people for four hours, it was actually quite fun even though I was nervous at first. The cool thing was that I totally got in the zone and found myself discovering new ways of approaching my drawings that I hadn't thought of before. It helped that I was sitting next to this girl who had a really cool style and so I was able to look at how she approached the drawings and I was able to learn from her.

Runner

I like drawing people running, I'm not really sure why, maybe it's because I like to run.

Practice

I bought this book called 'Facial Expressions' which is full of people making faces, here are a couple quick sketches and my attempts at color marker which I haven't used in years and years. The bottom two sketches look like they should be saying "Gosh!"

Okay, this comic about this dream I had probably won't make sense to anyone who reads this except Alicia and Melanie. I could give an explaination but I really don't feel like it so if you want to know, ask me and I will tell you.

Amber the fairy

I was reading about fairies the other day and I learned that they are the keepers of the earth, they encourage us and delight in us being in harmony with the earth and all living creatures. When I was reading the book I kept thinking about my friend Amber because she is a vegitarian and does more than most people I know in making the earth a better place to live and so I made a picture of her as a fairy.

I helped make this in college, the animation is a bit getto but hey I think it's good for the two weeks we spent on it.

Cat and UFO

I saw art in the graphic novel "Jimmy Corrigan" that I really liked and so I sort of copied the background and wanted something to be in the forground and that is where the cat and the ufo come from.

Hannah Wonders

I made this for my friend Hannah who happened to see the two pictures I made of Dane. I made this picture and when I would show people they would say, it doesn't really look like she is doing something Wonder Woman would do and I would say, well that's the point. Anyway I gave it the title 'Hannah wonders' and it suddenly dawned on me that she does look contemplative over something, like she is wondering. So Hannah is wondering over something deep, she really is Wonder Woman. Hilarious

So for this week's illustration friday I was trying to come up with something for the subject "red" and this popped into my head, it's pretty close to what I saw.
